Deadlock builds

What this page covers

This page does not publish a “best build.” It shows what players actually bought in real ranked matches — with the sample size, the rank bracket, and the date window for every number, and a link to the exact query each row comes from.

That's not modesty — it's what the data supports. In our Silver sample below, the hero's overall win rate for the window was 43.6% (185 wins in 424 matches). The “win rate after buying” of every one of the ten most-bought items lands between 42.3% and 48.5% — hugging that same baseline. If any of these items reliably won games by itself, matches where it was bought would sit clearly above the baseline. They don't. Those numbers measure how the hero performs at that rank, not what the item does — so a chart that ranks items by win rate and calls the top one “best” is reading a signal that isn't there.

Silver: what players actually bought

Scope of this sample: ranked matches (Normal mode), average lobby rank Phantom I or higher, July 31 – August 11, 2026, items with at least 10 recorded purchases. Rows are ordered by average purchase time, so the table reads as a shopping timeline — early-game rows first.

How to read this: the same match usually buys several of these items, so rows overlap and cannot be added together. “Win rate after buying” is a conditional sample, not a measurement of the item's effect. Every “matches bought” figure links to the exact public API query it came from (deadlock-api.com, a third-party stats project — not official Valve data).

So what should I buy on Silver?

The honest reading of the table: almost every recorded game picks up Restorative Shot very early (average 1:27) and Melee Lifesteal soon after (3:17); Hunter's Aura is the most common big purchase of the mid game (12:38); Weighted Shots, Warp Stone, and Berserker are late-game purchases when they appear at all. That tells you what the field is doing — it does not prove those choices are optimal, and this page won't pretend otherwise.

Why not just rank the items by win rate?

Because the spread is noise around the hero's own baseline. Berserker's 48.5% tops the table, but it is also bought latest (25:22 on average) — games that last that long and go well enough to afford a 3,200-soul item are already unusual games. That is survivorship, not item power.
